Huggins Elementary School
Home of the Hounds
Due to the growing student population resulting from new growth and development in the area, the district enacted a cap on enrollment for PreK - 5th grades for Haygood Elementary. This decision allows class sizes to remain at acceptable levels while not overloading instructional programs at the campus.
Families with Kinder-5th grade students moving into the Haygood Elementary zone will be rezoned for Huggins Elementary, located at 1 Huggins Drive, Fulshear, TX 77441. Transportation will be available to these families.

Principal
Principal Jennifer Brewer proudly leads the Hounds at Huggins Elementary. A dedicated Lamar CISD educator for 23 years, she has served as a member of the Huggins family for the past 13 years, first as a teacher, then as an instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. Ms. Brewer earned her bachelor's degree from Texas State University and her master's degree from the University of Houston–Victoria. Grounded in strong relationships and a passion for helping every child succeed, Ms. Brewer is committed to fostering growth, excellence, and meaningful opportunities for all students. She believes in empowering students, staff, and families to achieve their best and remains dedicated to ensuring every student grows every day, in every way.
